Security footage being reviewed in disappearance of Gabby Petito

Surveillance footage is being reviewed for any trace of missing Long Island native Gabby Petito from a stop in Utah on her cross-country road trip out West.

Petito, 22, who often documented her travels on her Instagram, last shared a photo of herself on Aug. 25 holding a small pumpkin in front of the Monarch Mural in Ogden.

“We are thouroughly [sic] examining our security footage from the date of her post for any helpful information,” the tourist destination, which features a mural of butterflies, said Tuesday.

Petito, who is from Blue Point, New York, had embarked in July on a tour of national parks in a converted van with her boyfriend Brian Laundrie.

“We are pleading with anyone, including Brian, to share information with us on her whereabouts in the past weeks,” North Port Police Chief Todd Garrison said in a statement Wednesday. “The lack of information from Brian is hindering this investigation.”
