NYPD officer shot in Brooklyn

An NYPD officer was shot in Brooklyn Thursday afternoon, police said.

The police officer was in stable condition after being shot at Pitkin Avenue and Legion Street in Brownsville, police sources said.

No further information was immediately available.

The shot NYPD officer remains in stable condition.
