Cops look to identify ‘Gucci’ thief

Bad guy, good taste.

Cops are looking for help identifying an opportunistic thief who stole a designer Gucci bag and two pair of designer sunglasses — net worth $2,000 — from an unlocked luxe car on Staten Island.

The bandit swiped the designer goods from a 2017 BMW X3 parked on Marion Avenue on the Island’s North Shore at about 12:20 a.m. Sept. 9 before fleeing to parts unknown, police said.

Police on Saturday released surveillance video and a photo of the grand larceny suspect, an adult male with a full beard. He was last seen wearing a multi-colored short sleeved shirt, blue jeans, white sneakers and a multi-colored baseball cap.
