WWE Makes a Huge Announcement About The Undertaker Ahead of WrestleMania 37

WWE has entered the cryptocurrency game with the launch of their own NFTs. With WrestleMania 37 hours away, WWE launched Undertaker NFTs for fans to purchase. These non-fungible tokens feature the most iconic moments from the Deadman’s career.

WWE launch Undertaker NFTs

A non-fungible token is like bitcoin, except bitcoin is fungible, meaning we can trade it for another bitcoin. As for NFTs, they’re anything digital a user can buy online. Whether it’s a tweet, a video, a photograph or music, or any form of digital art, anyone can purchase it as an NFT.

WWE’s decision to have the Undertaker as the first edition of NFTs is a spectacular decision. Of course, every one of Taker’s matches is a form of digital art. We can now purchase the Deadman’s most iconic moments, including his WrestleMania cl assics. Of course, instead of purchasing it like any other commodity, WWE will auction these NFTs.

WWE will sell the NFTs in four tiers; platinum, gold, silver and bronze. According to the platinum tier (exclusive), the auction will begin at $10,000, and feature some great prizes like tickets to WrestleMania 38 or 39, a personalized video message from the Deadman, the original urn used by Paul Bearer and Taker, and finally, a WWE Championship belt with the winner’s names engraved.

The gold tier is also an exclusive one with special gifts. Bidding opens at $5,000 and features prizes like tickets to Monday Night Raw or Friday Night SmackDown, a personalized video message, and a signed Undertaker Legacy WWE Championship belt.

The silver tier opens at $1000 and features prizes like a limited edition NFT of the Undertaker and the side plates of the WWE Championship signed by the Undertaker. Bidding for the last tier, the bronze one starts at $100 and features only two unique NFTs.

Will the Deadman be at WrestleMania?

Having retired at Survivor Series 2020, the Deadman has officially hung his hat, gloves, and boots. Taker last competed at WrestleMania 36 against AJ Styles in the infamous Boneyard match, which seemed like a fitting way for him to go out.

WrestleMania will not be the same without its most iconic performer. This will also be the first WrestleMania since 1988 which did not feature Shawn Michaels, Undertaker and Triple H. Three of WrestleMania’s most iconic performers will not be at the show, but Undertaker’s absence will be felt the most.

Will the Deadman pull out a surprise appearance this weekend, or will he watch the event unfold from the comfort of his home while he gets richer through the sale of the NFTs?
